Numeracy Reflection T1W10

This week in maths I had to do addition problems by making tens. My question was 11+9. What I had to do was -1 from the 11 and it makes a 10 then +1 on the 9 to make 10. This makes the question 10+10=20 which is easy to solve. I hope you enjoy the video. I found this way of working out adding problems really good. Next time with my video I am going to use a clear voice and make sure the lighting is good.

This week for literacy we did word work this is one of my activities.  I had to find the meaning of my words and put them into sentences.  I found this activity quite easy.  Next time I will challenge myself with harder words.

Numeracy Reflection W7T1

We did Face, Place, Total Value to 1000 v2 just saying the number was 804 and the 8 was under lined. you do this 8 the number then what co lame like hundreds tens ones and chose one. like is hundreds then put 800 then do it to the other one and if its 3,185 then its the Thousands 3 then what co lame is the Thousands then put the number 3000 then do it to the others.

Term 1 week 4 Electronics

Today Andrew came to Mamaku and taught us electronics with light and others. We all got a light and a battery. We grabbed the light and plugged it in the pink hole and the one next to the black. You get a wire and plug it into these green hole and turn it on. You could see lights flashing and you needed to count the flashes. Then we got two nails and two clips. You grab the end of the wire clip it in then grab the other clip and put the nail into it. Do it to the other one as well. Then we had to hold on it really hard. After that we did the hots to the colds. Then we got to get one of the machines and 10 lights of other colours like yellow, green, red and blue lights. I wonder what school Andrew is going to next?
